2024-25 Book Award winners
Student votes have been tallied, and we are pleased to announce the following winners for 2024-2025! In a most unusual voting season, we have had a three-way tie for Runner-Up in both the Indian Paintbrush AND Soaring Eagle!

Wyoming Book Awards
In association with the Wyoming Library Association, We recognize favorite books chosen by our Wyoming students. This award process allows students to become acquainted with the best contemporary authors, become aware of qualities that make a good book, and how to critically read, choose, and vote in choosing an award.
Buckaroo Award
The Buckaroo Book Award provides the opportunity for Wyoming youth in grades K-3 to select a favorite book and honor its author.
Indian Paintbrush Award
The Indian Paintbrush Book Award provides an opportunity for Wyoming youth in fourth, fifth, and sixth grades to choose their favorite book from a list of 10 nominees and honor its author.
Soaring Eagle Award
The Soaring Eagle Book Award provides the opportunity for Wyoming youth in grades 7-12 to select a favorite book and honor its author. Its purpose is to help Wyoming students in grades 7-12.
