Young Authors Contest

Young Authors contest

Schools throughout Wyoming are encouraged to participate in the Young Authors Contest. This state-wide writing competition is offered for all grades, K-12. Entries include: poems, non-fiction, fiction, and graphic novels. The Young Authors Contest provides students the opportunity to write for enjoyment and to share their writing.

The writers are then recognized by their local districts.  The winning entries at local districts are then sent to the State Young Authors Contest by March 31, 2023.  Then, the winning entries and authors are recognized at a State Young Authors Celebration.

Wyoming State Young Authors Competition Flyer.

We will also virtually host “Adventures with Authors'' in order to assist students with writing skills in the different genres. Go to our Calendar of Events tab for details and links. or the Recording of Authors tab for a link to the recordings to use at your convenience. Check the tips and ticks that our local authors provide in all genres.
